97.6.15 16:20. I started to Seattle from Narita by flight NW008. It took 8 hours and 30 minutes. Arrival at 09:05 Seattle. Next I flew to Vancouver by the propeller plane after waiting for 3 hours and 35 minutes. And I flew one more flight AirCanada216 to Calgary at 15:00. Arrival at 17:16 Calgary. And I drove to Banff by the wagon vehicle one hour & half. At last I arrived at Banff at 18:50.(Japan Standard Time 6.16 10:50) It took 18 hours and 30 minute. Hoo.. Canada Banff is too far from Japan.    Although Canad had worth going to take such long hours. It was too large and beautiful place that could see deffelent landscape from japan. It was the first time I visited Canada and stayed only four days. Though I could very fun there, and take many pictures. There were many places I wonted to take pictures. Canada landscape became a good picture truly.     1st day, the sunset of Canada was 10:00 p.m. in June. But I was not sleepy at all, because of my body still felt as 14:00;Japan time by the jet lag . Then I went out to the town, there were many buildings that was lighted up. I Stayed at INNS of BUNFF for four days. Although it took about 10 minutes walk from the center of a town, it had a large room and a large veranda that had good view. So, it was comfortable and satisfied. Moreover, there were some Japanese staffs and they helped me with my unskillful English communication several times.     Next day, I went hiking to Sulphur mountain. There I met many dear squirrels and saw very beautiful big scale view from the summit that could not see in Japan.     The 3rd day I went next town Lake Luise. It took about 1 hour by JTB's free suttle bus on the express-way. There was beautiful emerald green lake and elegant hotel Chateau Lake Louise as that name it was like a castle stood by the lake. There impressed me very much again.       |
Then I walked to Six Glaciers from here one hour in woods. Sometimes I had heard the sound of glacier collapse. But I did not see at the moment glacier collapse.
At Plain of Six Glaciers, it was rain. So I couldn't see beautiful view. Then I took a rest at the small teahouse and ate vegitable soup. During rest, rain was over. On the way of back to Lake Luise, I droped at Lake Agnes. There was much snow around the lake and the lake was iced over.  |  |

The 4th day, I joined YOHO national park bus tour with a Japanese guide. It went Lower Spiral Tunnel View Point, Emerard Lake, Natural Bridg, Takakkaw Waterfall and Moraine Lake. Each distination was far. So we had to ride on the bus for long time. During transport, our guide explained the geology of Canada, and racial history in detail. At the lunch brake, I asked her it had been hard to study those. Then she answered that of course, it was very hard to have memorized those. She had had to read many documents many times.      The 5th day, I went trout fishing to Lake Minnewanka with Canadian fishing guide. I cought three Lake Trout during 4 hours. Those size were about 50cm to 60cm. Although it was easy to cought up that big size. Those had beautiful pattern and color. The guide told there were three kinds of Lake Trout. As his word, I cought two golden ones and silver one.  At those days, I had had very good experience I hadn't ever expeienced. But on the way of I went back to Japan, big accicents happened. Last day we started to cargary by the wagon vehicle from Bunff at 6:30. And We got on flight NW405 to Mineaapolice from cargary at 10:05. And at the Mineaapolice airport, We transfered next flight to Japan. There the diperture delayed 3-hours. Then our flight NW019 flew to Narita at 17:50. After flying away, it happened engin trouble and went back Mineapolice. The flight postoponed next day. Then the airline provided passengers hotel room. But the hotel I was provided was overbooking. So I went back airline desk and was provided another hotel room again. It was past 0:00 a.m. I checked in at the hotel. The hotel airline provided me was the famouse Hilton. But it is difficult to enjoy the luxury mood of a Hilton. I was too tired. After taking a shower, I slept at once . Next day, the flight would dipert at 10:00. But it delayed again. At last It started at 15:00. Then I reary realized incovinient of airplane's travel. We checked our baggage airplane, so we could'nt change another flight easyly. I experienced happy time and hardship in this travel. So I had complicated idea that I want to go to Canada again and I wo'nt go to canada again. DISCOVER BANFF Canadian Web Site |
