First I wanted to go to Switzrland and I had reserved gurop tour. But the tour was stoped becouse of lack of costamer on the previous month. So I changed plan to go to the Yosemite. But there is no tour to go to Yosemite too because of same reason of Switzrland one. And yet I found this one. It was not complete one I wont but it was very cheep and it could go to only one person. 26th July 12:15; I took AirportBus before Tachikawa Gland Hotel. So this tour bigan. Then I arrived at Narita at 14:40. The bus stopped before the enterance of the airport terminal, and I could check in immediately. It was very convenient and resonable price 3500yen. After taking late lunch, I was wathing aircraft at the top of airport. The aircrafts took off and landed at five minutes interval. What a busy airport Nrita is ! 16:40; We began to take the aircraft and take off at 18:10. This is start of unconfatable flight. Because my body is large. (It means I'm high, not fat.) I cannot sleep on account of small space and noise . But I wont to go foreign country out of curiosity. Recently, the GPS of the automobile was popular. Also several infomation was displayed screen every fixed time in the aircraft. For example, the CG of where we fly now, altitude, speed, tail wind or head wind, original time, landing time, remaining flight time was displayed.But there is not change for the most part on the sea. So it wasn't interesting. It was Remaining flying time I was most interested in. And I looked foward to a movie. But movies in the aircraft that day were "The message in a bottle" and "Shakespeare fall in love" I had already seen. I was disappointed and very boring. The aircraft reached the upper air of San Francisco. But San Francisco airport was foggy. So aircraft was waiting of landing about 20 minutes. And even with windowseat I could not see under view by the fog. 26th July 11:20 (27 3: 20 JPT); At last the aircraft landed Sun Francisco airport. And we started travel in America at 12:30. There were three costamers in tihs tour. So we could travel by cadillac attracting the attention of the other travelers. It became the unusual funny travel. 14:30; We were passing Mariposa where was lodging place that days. And we went to Yosemite Valley. At 15:50, we arrived at the Tunnel Views and looked on the whole view of Yosemite Valley. At 17:00, Next sightseing was Mariposa Grove where was forest of Giant Sequoias. And at 18:30 (27 10: 30 JPT), we cheked in Mariposa INN. Then long long day had finished. I was very tired that day.  Japanese Page

The 1st day: This is view from the Tunnel View where the entrance of Yosemite Valley. The big rock looks at the center-left is named "El Capitan" that is famouse rock in the world. And central cascade is named "Bridal Veil Fall". This cascade moves by wind like the Bridal Vail. | |||||
The Mariposa Grove is forest of sequoias. There is the monster sequoia age of the tree is 2700 years old. But at that time I was very tired for the long traveling, so I could not go seeing that one. However the same spicies of sequoia, the wooden skin is different each other. And there are very big pine. But I failed to take a pictur. |

The 2nd day; I heard The Ahwahnee Hotel costed $250 a night, but it was very populer hotel, then we rarely could reserved. I thought it was natural, it standed best location and it had a moody woody building. And sometimes I could meet some prairiedogs in front of the hotel.

The "Yosemite Fall" consists of the cascade of 3 steps, and height is 739m. At the end of July, water is quite few. In May or June water is a very large quantity. So if we gets near the fall, we need preparedness getting wet all over the body. |

"Olmsted Point" is the point there are many rocks which are carried by the glacier. And we can look around behind view of the "Yosemite Valley" here. |

"Mono Lake" is the lake of the salt. Crystal of the salt is making the beautiful salt pillar like a castle. There are many solt lakes at the middle of America. |  |

The 3rd day; At the north edge of Death Valley, there is the villa residence called "Scotty's Castle" which is maked by very rich person.  |

In the front yard of the castle, big woods and lawn are planted. I think, this is a best point of taking lunch. If someone will go to Death Valley, please remember. |  | |||

 At "Sand Duene", temperature was 45℃, but I still enjoyed 45℃ and the desert. And at the next point, a hill called "Artist's Palette" still enjoyed warking on the hill and enjoyed hot wind too. It was terrible hot(I would say heat.). But it was very dry, I didn't sweat in spite of this hight temperature. I guessed the index number of unpleasant might be the same rank as 35℃ in Japan. |

Next "Bad Water" is desert of salt. The salt floor looks like making by the marblestone spreads under our feet. And the height is -85.2 m above sea level here. In this time at last the temperature became 49℃. And I began to hate the heat. The hot wind burn my face. It seems we are in the natural oven. My watch and camera being so heat as I can't hold them long time. By the way, almost American don't come here in summer. Here is a resort area of winter.

| The "Furnace Creek" which is the center of "Death Valley" was the hotel we stayed overnight taht day. There are a golfcourse, some tenniscoats, a valleyballcoat, and a swimming pool around the hotel. Properly, only pool was crouded. I thought this golfcourse was very "Golf-course of Devil" in that season. The temperature did not down under 40℃ in the night. The hot wind was blowing over night. Next morning, I woke up, I felt cool. But the temperature was still 35℃. And I was walking around the hotel. Then I found a big owle was walking slowly. Probably, it didn't have any enemy around here. In spite of my approach the one didn't fly away. |  |

| The 4th day; "Zabriskie point" had beautiful stripes of stratum. There were many points stratum appeared in the "Death Valley". Especially, here was very beautiful if it was shined morning sunlight. But that day was cloud. It was regrettable. On the other hand in this "Death Valley" it was confatable weather. In fact I felt relieved not to be consecutive heat days. Next we went to "Dante's View" and looked down whole "Death Valley" and "Bad Water". Big natur tour finished here. And we went to Los Angeles. |  |

| Japanese Page In this travel, I mainly looked foward to Yosemite sightseeing. At Death Valley, I expected only experience of the heat of the desert. But Death Valley was more impressive place. (Saying so, but I wouldn't go there once more. That heat is much enough.) That scenery and the hot wind were like out of earth. It was a unimaginable world where we lived in Japan. It was the very interisting experience. In comparison with that scenery, I felt Japan is like a miniature garden. That is a very good point of the foreign travel. There are many unimaginable, strange, unique, place in the world we can't experience in Japan. I recognized again I should go everywhere without hate and experience evrything. |
